The roads of Westbrook, Portland, South Portland, and Scarborough have enough potholes to nearly count as Swiss cheese. We have even been known to run seasonal specials to help you with affordable pothole damage repairs in the spring.
This summer, the 2017 Ford Fusion is coming to Rowe Ford Westbrook, and with it, a brand-new technology to help keep you from suffering Maine pothole damage ever again.
The 325-horsepower Fusion Sport V6 model features pothole mitigation technology. Advanced sensors sweep the surface of the road in front of the sport sedan, and when they detect a sudden divot in the pavement, they signal the computer-controlled shock absorbers to stiffen, holding the endangered wheel up so it will not fall down into the hole.
We think this could be our new favorite feature, which could spare drivers hundreds of dollars per year in tire, wheel-rim, suspension, and steering-system damage. We hope Ford will expand it to all models in our new inventory in the coming years.
