New Streaming Technologies Coming to Ford SUV Models

In Ford’s continuing efforts to remain at the forefront of innovation, the automaker has unveiled new technologies that is sure to be a major hit with the entire family.

Ford now plans to integrate a live cable/satellite television stream into the all-new 2018 Expedition. The live stream works through SlingPlayer™ and goes to the SUV’s dual-headrest rear seat entertainment system. Additionally, the new Expedition will come with a Wi-Fi hot spot allowing you and your passengers to connect up to ten devices simultaneously, even up to 50 feet away from the vehicle.

The automaker also has plans for the upcoming 2018 EcoSport. This crossover SUV will be available early next year and will include available music streaming technologies such as Apple CarPlay™, Android Auto™, and SiriusXM™.

“Increasingly, our on-the-go customers are streaming music and television to their personal devices. We’re meeting this demand in our biggest and smallest SUVs,” states Michael O’Brien of Ford Motor Company.
