New Ford Explorer Offers Plenty of Options, Says NY Times Review

The Ford Explorer continues to reign as the most popular SUV on the planet. The 2016 edition of the Explorer demonstrates the model's remarkable versatility and appeal with multiple configurations available - including three different engines and several trim levels - across a range of price points. Auto critic Tom Voelk recently had an opportunity to review the latest Explorer for The New York Times.

Voelk tested the higher-end Platinum edition of the Explorer and noted that it's easy to fall for features like a panoramic glass roof, climate-controlled front seats, a nice Sony sound system and cut and sewn instrument panel. The Platinum model gets the top engine, 3.5 liters of turbocharged V6, packing 365 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque.
